Here's the latest from Mom and Janelle on her CarePages:
Janelle spent another day at IMC. We were concerned about the pain she felt in her chest and her lower right side under her ribs. The doctor ordered an ultrasound and apparently all was okay there. The hospital's endocrinologist checked her and ordered blood work. It looks like the meds have bothered her liver. We have a consult with him in the morning and THEN she should be able to leave the hospital. She had a pretty good day with several small naps, just a little nausea, but still the major headaches.
Janelle's attitude is positive and optimistic! I'll share a few words she emailed to a distant friend: "I have some big pounding headaches, and I can't open up my right eye because it's swollen and not quite ready to work yet, but things will get better! I feel much better today than yesterday. I made it through surgery, and I've had a lot of people praying for me!
I know that each of us on the earth are important in God's plan. It was great to see the people in Israel again and to be reminded of how precious and important each soul is to God. I'm so grateful for the Atonement. I had a great experience in the Garden Tomb to testify of the Savior's resurrection, and I loved feeling of the Savior's love for us in the Garden of Gethsemane. I know the Atonement is real and that it works. I know His healing power is real- both physically and spiritually! I don't know HOW it works, but I know that it DOES work. I'm so grateful for the plan where our Father provided a Savior for us!
I've been amazed at the outpouring of love so many have shown when they hear what I'm having to do with surgery. The many prayers and words of support help teach me how I want to be when others need my help!"

Thanks for sharing that wonderful testimony. I have been through some difficult times that have caused me to want to help others in any way I can. I have sense love to look for ways to help all those around me. I have found that serving others is when I am the happiest and I forget the things that try me.
Keep looking up in all senses of the word. You are a great example for many thoughout the world.
I think it is safe to speak for all the Rutland Branch members who you served on your mission. We all pray for you and your family. Sounds like you are in great hand with your doctors and your kind and patient family.
You have blessed the lives of so many people. It is time for us to bless your life.
