And in case you decide not to sign up, here's the latest update from my mom:
Still at the hospital helping Janelle through her recovery process.... helping her through the roller coaster ride of good and bad, mostly nausea times & bad head pain. Twenty-four hours sure can feel double that when in pain. Janelle asked at 5 this morning for another blessing for added strength. She received one when her dad arrived (with the help of a male nurse on this floor).
So after another very rough sick night for Janelle, we stayed here at IMC again today. Her blood sugar numbers have been pretty good all day, but they are trying to get all her pain and nausea meds regulated. We think we have found the medication that will work for her to go home. So one more night and hopefully we should head home tomorrow. She ate a little better tonight. We are hoping for a restful night free of pain and sickness so she'll feel like going home. She still has a long road of recovery ahead. Next week she'll have a radiation consult and have the 26 staples removed. We also need to make appointments with rehab at Tosch to work on her balance. We're hoping her right eye's third nerve will eventually decide to work, but it could take up to a year...that controls the eye movement and lid opening and closing.
The pathology report shows that its a grade 1 tumor --which is the best kind to have but it's in the worst possible place. We were told by our neurosurgeon tonight that this meningoioma tumor will not ever be cured. That was hard to hear, but we must have lots of people's prayers carrying us because so far we're dealing well with this news. We so appreciate your love and prayers! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
