We LOVE the temple!

Tyler and I were asked to speak in church this past week on temples, and our testimony of the temple. This is something that is so dear to our hearts! I love the quotes Tyler found and shared, and I felt to share several special experiences I have had with the temple. The temple has blessed us to become who we need to be for each other, it has blessed our lives so much with the Spirit of the Lord. And having that Spirit has helped direct us to each other! It has also helped answer our prayers to find a worthy companion, AND to know that the other was the right person for us to spend eternity with! One of my favorite quotes Tyler shared in his talk says: "Temples stand as a constant reminder that families are eternal."

We enjoyed times walking around the Oquirrh Mountain Temple! How blessed we feel that we live only two miles from this beautiful house of God.

It was fun to enjoy the beautiful Manti Temple Pageant last summer with my family! It was fun to have Tyler get to know my cute nieces and nephews better too!

Our wedding day in the temple was so special. The temple matron, Sis. Layton, said this was my "queen moment" and the rest of the day would be my fun princess day. But this was the queen moment. President Alan Layton sealed us for eternity, such a sweet and memorable ceremony. The way the sky cleared and the clouds opened up to allow the sun to shine down right above the temple JUST as we walked out was miraculous!

It was special to attend the St. George temple on our honeymoon, and do sealings for the first time after being sealed ourselves! What diligent efforts those early saints put into building the temple! Their sacrifices were so great, and helps encourage me to sacrifice more of my time there. It's not really a sacrifice, but a blessing to be in the Lord's holy house. What a great time we live in, to have temples dot the earth!

And here are a few pictures of the beautiful Copenhagen, Denmark temple! What fun to visit the land of our ancestors last summer with my parents and incredible friend, Keri! Our ancestors worked hard to share the gospel in Denmark years ago--If they could only see the fruits of their labors... they are smiling down from heaven to see this temple here today! Many of the temples have been built closer to people in the past several years, so more people throughout the world can enjoy the great blessings found in the temple!

And last December, we enjoyed visiting some of Tyler's family up in Logan as his nephew blessed his baby boy. It was a pretty snowy day, and we enjoyed a stop at the Logan temple, which we hope to attend someday! We also saw the old favorite "Bluebird" restaurant. Tyler also showed me the home that he grew up til the age of 10, in the little nearby town of Providence!
And he told me a funny story as we passed by his elementary school. When he was a kid, he was throwing snowballs to knock down the large icicles hanging from the building! Well, the poor kid got detention! I was shocked! But when you think about it, he was probably looking out for others' safety, if you think about it! However, it was right by the doorway-- not the best spot. You can rest assured he never did that again!
