Sad But True

Well, it's officially gone. The computer specialists at the school district tried to recover my hard drive when it crashed, but to no avail. The hardest pill for me to swallow is re-writing the 20-page paper for my masters portfolio. It contained lesson plans, strategies, all written in third person, which took  much time and effort to produce!  For the portfolio I am supposed to use those lessons, videotape myself teaching them, analyze the students' results, and add several more pages to the portfolio in doing so.  Now I need to start from ground zero and have it finished in March.  OUCH!!!  I ALMOST printed it and was thinking about saving it to my thumb drive. Procrastination gets me again! Let this be a lesson to anyone with a computer. The sad thing is my co-workers shared this lesson they had just learned as well. My professor didn't hang on to my paper, and it's not in any of my emails anywhere.  Sad!!! It also makes me sick all the itunes, iphotos, and documents I created for school that were on it.  Luckily over Christmas, I was able to load many pictures from my iphoto onto DVDs so I can keep my memories of all the trips I've taken.  PHEW! Thanks Dad and Mom for your help with that!  Okay, I think that's enough of a pity party.  It's off to work I go!  Time to get writin'!
P.S. There will be NO pictures posted with this!

Janelle,

I am SO sorry that Ron could not retrieve any of it! I am truly feeling your pain right now. I am to the point in the year where nothing was backed up, so I am having to re-create it all as well. Would Jen have any of your school stuff? Good luck, and if I can help with anything, let me know!

Oh no! So, So, Sorry. My condolences, really! I finally talked Lance into getting an external hard drive to back up our computer. It is amazing how much we rely on these things, huh? I am so glad you were able to save most of your pics and videos.

Wow, that's a real stinger! Man, so sorry to hear you couldn't get anything recovered and I'm glad you vented about it. Sharing helps clear the air so you can muster up the motivation to pick up and get going again despite all the frustrations. Good luck!!
